    IMO pushing the fluid through with pressure works better than trying to suck it through the brake nipple under vacuum.

    A lot of the time it's sucking air in past the threads of the bleed nipple too, unless you mess about putting grease around the area.

    That mat be correct, I have a couple of pressure bleeders too so next time I need to bleed anything I'll try both and see which works...

    I recently bought a manual oil extractor pump thing that has adapters for brakes/clutches. I'm yet to try it on brakes but it sure works...

    You aren't missing anything, the bulbs are just a push fit. A 10 second google search brings this up. Skip to about 02:30 in.

    OEM tyres were 215/45/17 - are they any cheaper or do you specifically want 225's?
