Hello All, Iv recently bought a new '02 172... its the 3rd iv had and this one is thr first this has happened to, when cold it always requires a - swing the key STOP - swing start? If i dont do this the engine wont start? What could this be TDC??

Im trying to get this off now with abit but its taking alot of patience by scratching it, im wondering dose any one know of a good product to remove this faster, its the protective film layer around the clock,radio,heater and door pouches. thanks for any advise :D

Jus bought a clio 172 2002 in oz an the item i need the most wont work... when i bought it he said the a/c gas was out so i didnt take much notice, all the dails are working temp up down etc but im not even geting hot air threw the blower????? any suggestions poss fan packed up????

im havin the exact same prob :(... the roads are in such bad cond after the weather its after damagein someit!! im havin another look later, but putin it up on a lift thurs so should have some bit of a solution for ya!

Iv recently found a jitter in the steering while doing approx 60-70 the car seems to sway a tiny bit (like a boat motion) but very slightly!! iv taken off the wheels and hd a look at the bushing etc but nothing seems obvious! iv just had the tracking done and that bit seems fine? ever happen to...

As mark123 said its a pig to do.. hes ben doing VW with 10 years, great mechanic but its even difficult to c how to get in there its so tight so its not the mans fault :rasp:!

has any one also got hints and tips to gaining access to get the belts off/on. that was the sticky bit.. it dosen't give to much info in the manual. Cheers
