If its a private plate it MUST be at least a 1999 if not newer then, as a plate cannot be issued to a car that will make it look newer than its actual age.
Saying that i know a few poeple who have/had cars with only 2 numbers on the red and they were the ones to be originally issued with the car
I was there, but sadly the 172 didnt make it as i hit a pehasant on the way back from picking my mate up and i now have no windscreen :(

Ive found a twin exit blueflame on ebay that looks like itl do for now. Anyone had experience of them? Also, in the picture it shows it fitted to a ph1 172, will it still fit a ph2 172?

Aye i saw that cheers mate, but was just looking for a cheap fix for the short-term.
New question then - im after a decent stainless system. Not too loud and no stupid tailpipes. Not too expensive either please :)
My 172 exhaust is on its way out and im presuming that theres no reason (bar the need to cut the bumper and buy a couple of the recess plastics from renault) that a 182 dual pipe system would fit?

You know you need a valver mate!! Goot show phil and tom what a proper french hatch can do. Give it a month or so and ill take you out in the hybrid then ul know for definite which you want :D:D
