    Today at the Pod.

Yeah I managed to forget my licence! Doh!! Helen managed to get 8 runs in, her best being a 14.8 @ 95mph which I was pretty impressed with...it was her first time out! And a little bit close to comfort as my best time at York was 14.7 @ 94mph! Think she managed to embarass quite a few...

If anyone wants the low quality short clip of me at york against the 172 or the clip of the exhaust i can email it to you... They are 1.20 MB and 5.99MB If someone could host them, that would be great!

Cheers for hosting them! I might be slightly biased, but my exhaust sounds quality!! You have to right click on the links and save target as... Otherwise they dont all work

    my vts 1/4 mile time

Yeah when I went to Santa Pod it was just slightly damp and because there is so much rubber laid down on the tarmac it made it really slippy. I was getting shed loads of wheelspin as changed up into 2nd, so only managed a couple of 14.8s and a 15.3 To be honest I think York is far better than...

    L.A.D’s 200+ bhp Conversion....

Just another point, Id be surprised if any standard Focus RS would manage 0-60 of 5.9s From what Ive been told the car Ford supplied to do those times had a strange Overboosting problem... Which kind of makes sense because none of the other magazine reports Ive seen have managed to get...

    L.A.D’s 200+ bhp Conversion....

I cant comment on LADs work on the 172, but I can tell you that LAD have a very bad reputation for making wild power claims. Thats not to say that the actual work they carry out is of a low standard, but of all the conversions Ive heard theyve done on 106 Gtis and VTR/Ss havent made anywhere...

    LAD conversion

From what Ive heard the quality of LADs workmanship is good, but they do tend to have a very bad reputation for making overstated power claims.

    Supercharger

"the engine is still going to see 1 bar in the end" Your not just designing the engine to withstand just boost though are you... I cant be bothered to go into this in great lenght so lets just look at MEAN PISTON PRESSURE for a 4 stroke engine p= (4 x pie x M) / VH p = pressure M =...

    Supercharger

"The stresses on the engine will be the same" Its not about how much boost they produce its the dynamic loads on the engine that cause the damage... Take a piece of paper hold one end in one hand and the other end in the other hand... now slowly pull your hands apart, you can apply a massive...

Mines running 0.6 bar of boost and produces 165bhp & 148ft/lb torque @ wheels which is over twice the standard power output... http://www.create-it.co.uk/m18eut/the_supercharger.htmhttp://www.create-it.co.uk/m18eut/the_supercharger.htm Shows some clear pics of an s/c conversion on a VTR, as...

    Supercharger

"shame they sound like a car reversing" Which superchargers have you heard??? Mine make a low whistle at low revs and it makes a chattering rattlesnake noise when you lift off... Exhaust sounds wicked too... Have you seen the vidoes of me racing Daipac at York?

    Supercharger

"Turbos use power that is otherwise wasted out the exhaust pipe" Arrrggghhhh... I really hate it when people say that when they are comparing them to superchargers!!! Its a load of crap... Putting a turbo on an engine robs a fair bit of power, its like having an extremely restrictive...

    scooby..toasted!

My mates has a Scooby 2000 Turbo, had it rolling roaded and its producing around 220bhp @ fly approx. but as he told me after a bit of persuation that only works out at a rather laughable 130bhp @ wheels. No wonder from a rolling start I leave him for dead. In the dry even from a standing...
