Yea down the m1 via all the cameras and speed restrictions I was seeing that 70 probably about 46mpg I was blown away by just how good on petrol the 172 is with breathing mods too at that, my eg6 SiR2 with b16a can't even come close to the clio.

Motorway sensible driving can see 50 to 56 mpg on tescos finest 99ron so there is no case for a diesel and it's still fun.

Haha yes that's me, yea had it a few months now I needed a sensible daily travelling round the country now, my eg6 is in bits and being stripped for bare shell respray and my dad was selling his 172 track car and I've always said i would probably buy it.

Mine also idles lumpy I suspected after owning various french cars with ph3 cams and the way mine pulls quite hard further up the rev range that this had been cammed as all my cars previously ran rubbish my j4 106 xsi was on throttle bodies and ph3s running over 170bhp and that didn't like cold...

Mine also does 29-30-35 on town runs it varies but ultimately it sits around that and 37-40 if the trips reset on a run doing 70-80mph sometimes even sitting at 45ish mpg thats with stealth exhaust and induction kit.

Cheers pal the one thing that lets it down is the rear bumper id like the ktec exhaust that fits the 172 to make it look like a 182 think it would really set it off nice, not normally a fan of making something pretend to be something else but with the small difference in the 172/182 it'll look...

It was probably me if it had 182 wheels on as I was over that way yesterday, especially the around 30s haha although im only 27. On my travels since owning one theres alot of nice Sports on the road.

Spotted that beautiful example this afternoon and in general noticed theres alot of tasteful Clio Sports of all shapes going round the Hednesford area near me, anybody on here that ive seen???
