If it's any help, I have an FN2 daily and 172 cup in the garage for summer fun. I dailied the 172 for 150k miles with very few problems but I have to say the FN2 is an improvement on it in terms of driver comfort (although it's a very stiff ride) That said I far prefer the driving experience...

My son turns 17 next year and is desperate to get behind the wheel.
In terms of getting him into a car I think I'm down to the following options...
1, Buy him a cheap, slow shed to insure himself but worry about reliability and safety
2, insure him as a named driver on my 08 Civic...

It really is a rabbit hole and I am a little concerned about doing the wrong thing but like you guys say I think it's best to start simple and go from there.
I'll watch a few more videos to get a feel for what I need but I'll no doubt be back on here...
I tend to stick with autoglym shampoo for washing as that's what I've always used. I need to up my washing game as I've not paid too much attention to things like 2 bucket method and using the right sort of mitts etc. The forensic detailing video has opened my eyes a bit to different products...

I've got plenty of that too, I was thinking meguires ultimate compound followed by SRP and a wax to be decided?!
