See I wondered about this, but if it was dry and I was planning a spirited run, I'd use the Federals on my pretty track wheels. I don't want my normal everyday tyres to be better than my "playing out tyres" :LOL:
At the moment I have ditchfinders on my standard wheels, and 595RSR on my Team Dynamics Pro Race track wheels. These are literally for driving to the shops & to stand it on something over winter.
When I had branded tyres on the road wheels I drove to track days etc on them, but the cars barely...
I can get Mitutoyo 6” digital calipers for £84. As accurate as you’ll ever need. Industry standard.
Alternatively Moore & Wright are cheaper and almost as good.
True, but at £1 per inch plus VAT you can throw £20 per tyre refit and removal and still save money over some other places. But like I said, my wheels were brand spanking new, albeit in four different colours (Team Dynamics eBay special :D)

Cheers Rich! To be fair that’s the exact one I was looking at. I was thinking oil temp will give an indication of water temp anyway.
I’m tempted with the SPA one but would prefer it if it was a bit more subtle. Could fit it in the drinks holder I suppose.
Just wondering if anyone finds it useful having aftermarket water temp, oil temp & oil pressure gauges on their weekend toy/track car?
Obviously it’s helpful having an idea of what your engine is doing, but I haven’t seen a great deal of folk with them. Unless I haven’t been looking hard enough...

I’ve fitted new ABS rings to the front and bled the brakes. I can engage ABS now. However it seems to alternate between working correctly, locking the rear wheels, and engaging ABS and pulling to the passenger side. Making progress at least...
