I believe - maybe someone more knowledgeable can confirm - there is another white connector (similar to the one in the engine bay fuse box) located in the area under the scuttle panels/below the wiper mechanism. The wiring from the throttle pedal etc is supposed to run through this. If I am...
I did see those type of leds when I was looking for ones that would fit, but I didn't go with them for a couple of reasons. Firstly, at 9mm diameter I wasn't sure they would fit - especially with the metal cap being that large. There is a chance you could create a short on the metallised film...

The standard bulbs are 12V 3W festoon bulbs but much narrower than the usual festoon bulb at only 6mm diameter...
@rs 1an - they look like the same colour as the 172 lights? Assuming they were they plug and play?
If you don't mind me asking - what are the part numbers for them?
Just wondering if anyone can confirm whether the 172 Xenon headlights are still available from Renault? I believe the part numbers are 7701051794 (drivers side) and 7701051793 (passenger side).

I have some Mitutoyo 6" digital verniers that are about 21yrs old and still going strong - have only recently put my 3rd battery in it as well. Definitely one of the best tools I have ever bought (y)
