Door window seal , common problem. Mine was doing the same , just for a quick fix over winter to keep it water free, i stuck a thin strip of black gaffer tape over the window seal and it's been bone dry since. I bought a new oem seal at 200 quid ready to fit in next few months.
Gonna give that a whirl , mines gone knackered since my ballast pack has packed up, over a week ago, on the passenger side, Also noticed i'm a head light rubber cap missing on the other side, (drivers side) But that's dry as, So need to order a new ballast pack , and rubber cap.
I had the same problem, i ended up fitting a extra earth to the light cluster , it's been sound ever since, over 5 yr ago. after cleaning everthing up i could see to no joy...so earthed the cluster.

Thanks pal, i'll check them out, yeah just the road use set i'm gonna be looking at. I'm glad you've replied to my comment, as i'm gonna want a few pointers on pulling the box out, I'm going down the dropping half the subframe route. So i'll be picking ya brains in a couple of week if that's ok...

I amplaning on pulling the box out in a few week to get the box split & the correct selector seal fitted,,,,I just don't wanna be in the same position with it not selecting gears when i refit the box. cheers
