    How much %age increase!

My renewal came through from The AA, £254 from £145 last year, increase of +75%. Tried Greenlight and they wouldn't entertain me because my car isn't modified. So just went with someone generic from Compare the Market at £167. I did find someone on Compare offering £165. Went through the...

Found a bolt in the engine bay. Let’s play “where does it go?”

Bolt number 11 is what I took a photo of above. Bolt number 2 there are two of. See this image, it's actually got the reference numbers that are missing above.

Found a bolt in the engine bay. Let’s play “where does it go?”

I’ve got my alternator off at the moment. This is the bolt I’ve got for reference 11 in the diagram. 16mm head unflanged, with washer

    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

Sounds like a similar sort of thing. The Megs kit comes with small pads of different graded wet and dry that you use by hand and also a woolly buffing pad you use with a drill along with the supplied PlastRx (I think it’s called) to polish them up.

    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

It’s on the outside. I’ve used the Meguiars headlight restoration kit on my lights and works well, finished off with some UV sealant. It’s almost an annual job though, but it is rewarding

Nothing fancy here but I do like seeing old workhorses still doing their thing, like these pair of 90’s survivors

    All Titanium & Icebergs!

I tied the knot a few weeks ago. Having had my Clio for almost 16 years it was rude not to tart it up for the big day

    Hopgop1's RB 182

I’m using those Velcro coins that Amos has linked above and never had any problems. It takes the stress out of ensuring your plate is level too as you can just take it off and try again ;)

    Hopgop1's RB 182

New lights looks great! Your RB keeps getting better  Have you considered using Velcro discs to attach your number plate? Less faff to attach your plate and super easy to remove your plates when cleaning.

Any interest in another titanium tidy up?

Looks great! How did you get on with wiring the brake light? I’ve picked up a cup spoiler to fit but the connectors from the car to the spoiler are different sizes. I presume there’s another connecting piece specifically for cup spoilers that’s missing from mine :cautious:

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

Can anyone recommend a hose upgrade for my Karcher K4, please? The standard hose is dreadful and forever coils up. I’ve seen a few on Direct Hoses. Are they worth buying? Cheers (y)

    Warning lights

As above, ABS rings or sensors. When one of my ABS rings needed changing I was getting the above lights but I could also feel the ABS activating under light braking. Maybe you’re getting the same?
