Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Looks more of a toy to me. And that's coming from someone who uses Thrustmaster! I wouldn't be considering it. I'd like to go to Fanatec but from what I've read online, and following the issues Mace has been having, that's not going to happen. I'm also quite invested in the Thrustmaster...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Looking around online on various sim racing forums, it sounds like Fanatec are in a right mess with deliveries! Plenty of stories of people ordering weeks/ months ago for delivery before Xmas and recieving nothing.

To be honest, most of the aluminium rigs are very similar (Trak racer, sim lab, gt omega) so you wouldn't go wrong with any of them. I went with Gt Omega as it was the best value at the time (I think it still is the cheapest). The only possible issue going forward with the Prime Lite is the...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

I was tempted to go for the xl as I'm a bit on the chunky side, but a lot of reports/ reviews said it was huge and I thought I may be like a child sat it it! I went for the RS9 but in hindsight, I should've wait until the RS12 was back in stock, paid more and got that. Not that the RS9 is a bad...

Yes, GT Omega Prime Lite. Seems to be about the best value for money at the moment. Most of the profile rigs are very similar though (Trak racer, Simlab, GT Omega). Some people complain that the pedal plate flexes when running loadcell pedals I'm nowhere near that stage yet. The Prime comes...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Finished for now. Wirings about as tidy as I can make it. Probably be Tlcm pedals next. Keep looking at the SF1000 wheel but I keep reading that unless you are sat in an f1 position, it's hard to read the screen. I've got the older ferrari f1 wheel, and I tablet so I'm not really missing out.

I'd like to say it was enjoyable, it was at first but by the time your screwing the 97th T-nut and the fecker twists and pops out of line it gets a bit tedious. Main frame wasn't too bad but attaching the seat, the pedal plate and particularly the shifter mount was painful! Didn't help being a...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Update on my rig : GT Omega Prime Lite built. Pic is a work in progress. It's all built and assembled now, just some minor adjustments to make and a bit of cable tidying. Massive upgrade from my Playseat Evolution. Solid and, in my opinion very over engineered, but I'm pretty sure I won't...

Latest Logitech dd is supposed to be good. But it's lacking any choice of wheel and is also best part of £1500 with pedals. Quite happy with my Thrustmaster T300, although waiting for the T818 to be available for console. Whether I buy it will depend on price.

Not rattle around as such, just the seat being far too wide. Did a bit more research and read of a guy who was 6ft 3 and 260 pounds, even he found it too big. I've ordered it with the rs9 seat now. It was either the Prime Lite or the Playseat Trophy. I do like the look of the Trophy but with...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Pretty close to pulling the trigger on a GT Omega Prime Lite rig as an upgrade from my Playseat. Anyone else on here run one ( prime lite or standard prime)? Really unsure on what seat to get. I'm not that light weight (about 16 stone, 5ft 8) so I thought the xl seat would be best but these are...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

The dream would be to go Fanatec DD but I'm pretty invested in the Thrustmaster system so can't see that happening. Was waiting for the T818 DD console version from Thrustmaster but there has been no word on that and I fear it will be way over my budget. Tlcm load cell pedals would make sense...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Not bad if you're on a budget. Never owned one but tried a few and to me, they feel almost toy like. I know some say there are some top end sim racers still using these, not sure if that's true.

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Too invested in Thrustmaster now, got 3 Thrustmaster wheels. Been waiting for the T818 to become console ready but it's taking a long time! Thinking about upgrading to a TGT 2 in the meantime but not sure if it's much of a jump from a T300. Also, from reading round online, best upgrade you can...
