Racing slicks
If you do 30 mins in a decent go kart on corporate tyres, and then try and the same on proper race MSA tyres the difference in physicality is immense. I once did a 45 min race at Thruxton with a set of tyres they were "experimenting" with, and got black flagged after 40 mins (in bloody second...- Mizen

Old (but recent) pads on brand new discs
Hi - got myself new DS2500 pads and HC discs a few weeks back - but immediately glazed the discs at Brands a few hundred miles later (was at the Indy circuit, and just too many race cars on slicks plus a couple of terrifying 850+ bhp GTRs about making keeping up challenging enough,let alone...- Mizen
