NMB Bearing is in and to say I'm over the moon would be a total understatement.
Nick @Pms has said there is a possibility the PTFE lined bearing may stiffen over time, but it only took 40 mins to swap so if i have to buy another in a years time so be it.
To have the shifter totally...
The hunter alignment itself is also only as good as the person operating the hunter machine... I have personally had very different results from a variety of garages using hunter machines.
I'm not saying its wrong, but they need to properly know what they are doing or it could be false readings.

Interestingly you mentioned your PTFE bearing couldn't hardly be moved by hand however this one is relatively easy/smooth to move the ball around.
I think i will still try to remove the preload with a press anyway as i don't really want to be faffing...

Well they do have both non-branded and NMB bearings so i guess it could have been either.
I'm hoping it was an early non branded one where he preloading hadn't been removed.
I'm going to try an NMB and release the preloading first to free up the movement a little.

I agree with the above to a certain degree, I've fitted several motorsport shifters to previous cars and while none have vibrated quite as much as the PMS. They have all had their own resonance so I also call the #becauseracecar a little flaky.
You can try several things to quieten the PMS down...
where are the mud flaps from ?
I think i would go silver too, I have anthracite 2118 on a flame red and quite like them, but Silver with the Turini's if it was my car.
