After some advice. A mate of mine has just acquired an old 1990 Westfield.
He's asked me to help do the cosmetic side of the refurb.
Any suggestions on tackling the fibreglass panels?
They just look tired.
Any specific products or techniques to use?

Out curiosity if you unplug the seat airbags but leave all the wiring intact does this cause starting issues? Or is the issue only when you start cutting the loom out

No I don't hear the pump on ignition....
I've swapped the relays and no luck. Is there another fuse to check. I don't think so?
Tdc all looks OK.
The immobiliser light goes out and the light by gear stick blinks OK too.
I presently have the top of dash off and steering column...
Thoughts please. Ph1 172. Turns over but won't fire up.
I've had the interior out recently and dash top is off. However it has run since doing this.
Noticed today the central locking isn't working either
The immobiliser light does go out OK.

Im wondering if it was on the Renault fleet. I k ow that X39ftp was featured with Richard Hammond and couple other press bits.
So wonder if mine X38 was with it on some sort of fleet. Except it didn't do loads of early miles.

Then below in the stamp of dealer selling vehicle' its stamped 'company car'

Went to fit some rear flex hoses last night and the hoses simply seemed too long.
Anyone able to confirm the length they should be or if anyone any suggestions.
Length of total hose including fixings is 22cm. With hose to end of the nut fixing being 19cm.
The old hose however is only about...
