Personally I would just bin the tyres and the discs.
Tyres are old shite.
Discs and pads are cheap enough to replace.
Out of curiosity, look at the manufacturing date stamp on the tyres as they are probably older than you think. (Box with 4 numbers in - 0525 would be May 2025, 0109 would be...
Think there must be an issue with the diff for them to both fail like that. Both failed inner cv under load on right handers.
Breaking the Golf now to concentrate on finishing the Mini Cooper S.
Swift lads were very lucky. It stood up pretty well to be fair. That's why we have seats, harnesses...
I've used www.thewheelrestorer.co.uk in the past too, but there is a place in Llay doing wheels that my brother used (he didn't have diamond cut, just powdercoat), and I keep seeing adverts for a place in Ellesmere Port too with some reasonable offers.
My most recent purchase as a commuter/dog car
2009 A4 tdi 170 S Line
Face-lift front and 19" alloys
Heavier steering than I'm used to.
Drives quite nice otherwise.
Had the Golf for a few years now.
Great fun track car. Remapped GT Tdi140. Fully stripped out, rear cage, seats, harnesses...
Mate is also currently looking at using mk3 epas on his Mk2 Escort instead of the corsa b setup it currently has. Another video he has seen is of a BMW that's had clio mk3 epas fitted and it's giving a lot more assistance than clio mk2.
I havnt used PlayStation for ages, as the setup went into my lads room. He's been getting into drifting and rally games so we've just got him a Playseat Evolution from ebay as it was local too.
So if anyone is after a stand, I'm selling the old one
£25 collected from near Wrexham
Even comes...
I haven't looked at car tyre prices recently so I'm unsure if the 'inflation' is the same as to what I am seeing with the van tyres!

2024 quote.......
I've had 172 cups and used a 182 for a bit, and then had the 197.
172 and 182 great on fuel for what they are, and not bad drivers at all.
197 lovely drive, better handling, better brakes , soooo comfy with the Recaros but underpowered and crap on fuel in comparison.
Swings and roundabouts...
