It's not just about handling differences beween the MkI and MkII, it's more about what happens when you get to and beyond the limit of adhesion and chassis dynamics. From what I read, the MkI is not progressive in it's 'break away'. Once you have reached chassis and tyre limits it will snap...
I saw the Lunar grey one at the Motorshow. Under certain light the colour has a purple hue to it and was noticeable under the spotlights. I would argue that it wasnt a flat colour but meatallic and maybe even reflex. It certainly had metallic flecks if you looked hard enough.
I heard something like that too. However, I looked at fitting size guides and Mikes Cobra seats and Sparco are alot narrower than the OEM seat so actually gave more room. Maybe Recaro are different. Of course I could be talking cr*p.

Mitch, I am having the same idea, only really keen on the Sparco and Recaro ranges. Mike went for Cobra I understand. I had a lengthy chat with Yaozza about Sparco fitment and the difficulty was with the subframes and mounting points. Give Yozza a call and see if the Recaros from the Trophy...

Totally different types of car. You have to go and have a drive of each yourself and see which one YOU prefer. I have had 2 Scoobys incl a P1 and an Evo (preferred the P1) and now want a drivers car where my driving input dictates the cars behaviour and not the 4wd systems. Evos and...
I am 34, 8 yrs NCB, good postcode, garaged and have been quoted £720 on a MkII V6 with a £500 excess. Thats with A-Plan if I recall. Elephant wanted about £790 and £350 excess

The Coupe midrange is very, very quick and once on the roll with good 3rd gear gearing accelerates quickly. Never underestimate them. I also dont think that Scoob is standard. It has at least a decat exhaust which gives good results.

Been there done the Scooby x2 and Evo route over the last 8 years. The mkII v6 now hits all the right buttons. A REAL drivers car, with a multi cylinder engine and RWD. Something youll have to learn and respect to get the most out of it. Almost anyone can jump in a rally rep and hoon about...
