check the charge level in your battery, my clock did this a couple of times recently and then resulted in having to jump start it outside the chinese recently :(

Could be any number of things really, most common i would think would be exhaust join at the Cat, they sometimes whistle.

Your tyres will be a bit cheaper on 15'' i would imagine, plus looking at the flowers in the mirror, im guessing stretched tyres and camber will be on your list at some point. something to think about if your on a budget.
