Steering Rack Bushes replacement - Help! :)

That's interesting. Guessing the rattle of the diesel motors covers up any worsening of NVH in the rack... I'm still tempted to switch mine, partly to increase longevity and partly to fill time during lockdown  For anyone interested, I've also had a reply directly from Powerflex about...

Steering Rack Bushes replacement - Help! :)

Awesome, were the improvements significant? In truth, I can't sense any issues with my rack, but the car's done 129,000 miles and every other bush change I've done has made a noticeable difference as a result

Steering Rack Bushes replacement - Help! :)

Great advice in here. Just wondering if anyone's got experience of using the Black Series steering rack Polybushes on the road? I know that the Black Series bushes are normally too stiff for road use in other areas of the car (my car's other bushes are Road Series), but I wonder if the drawbacks...

How Britain made the 182 Trophy

Hey fellow Clio lovers/owners. I figured some of you may enjoy this story I’ve written for PH about how the UK created the 182 Trophy back in the Renault Sport glory days. I never knew how much power the UK division had in its development... Hope it’s ok for me to post this here; just sharing...

    Clio thefts

It's actually a conventional remote locking key that you have to put into the ignition, like the Clio. Which has only added to my worries!

    Clio thefts

After eight years of worry-free 182 ownership, I've started to get worried about security. The reason: an FN2 Honda Civic Type R was recently stolen from my road in south east London without the need for any smashed windows or breaking of steering lock. Whatever tool the criminals had at their...

    Seatbelt pretensioner mount

I managed to source an L-shaped piece of metal on eBay, which enabled me to bolt it through the subframe and then mount the pretensioner to it. This is the part here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seatbelt-Bracket-Buckle-Van-Conversion-Classic-Car-7-16th-Bolts-Washers-Nuts-/292018623843 Hope that...

    Wheel alignment garage recommendations London

Just called the three top garages close to my address on that ^ and two said they're not confident doing camber with elongated bolt holes, and the other quoted me £144! Seems a bit steep?

    Wheel alignment garage recommendations London

I've fitted a set of Bilstein B14s to my 182 and want to get the wheels aligned, including camber (the B14s have an elongated hole to allow adjustment). My local garage doesn't offer camber adjustments as part of its wheel alignment, so I wondered if anyone has a recommendation for a...

    Bilstein B14 best setup

@MrBlonde Looks awesome. My B14s are on now and set slightly higher. I can't believe how good the ride is - all the crashiness of the standard setup has gone.
