This seems the most appropriate place to discuss the below. Is anyone else not interested in this level of Smart Home automation? I like the idea of a few lights, speakers. But having your door open as you approach the house? Too far for me.

Certainly can be in my Golf. Agreed that it’s a total s**t feature. Mainly as it doesn’t just pick up signs on the road you’re on but, also those on backs of vehicles, side roads and any temporary limits (I’m thinking those 20mph school limits that are active when the lights are flashing)...

Not from my experience they don't. I don't have a subscription to OBDeleven. Paid outright for the pro version. That was in 2016 though so maybe it's sub based now? Like everything else I guess.

I'd avoid any RossTech or owners forum. You'll get torn a new one for buying a fake 🤣. I've got OBDeleven myself. Quite like it. Doesn't seem to work with really bew models. Yet, anyway. Really want that sound generator coded out.
