Id ask them how many they have replaced. It sounds as thought they have replaced more than one for that price. I had 4 coil packs replaced on the wifes 1.4 16v megane for £180 but this was not renault - it was my local friendly garage. Coil packs are about £40 each. Was advised that you are...
Its a 2 min job - pop the bonnet, feel behind the head lamp at the top, turn the indicator holder a half turn and remove holder and bulb in one go - change bulb, and replace - easy peesy.
For the rears, unscrew hex bolt thingy inside the boot and remove the whole cluster, the you can see...
Well Parkers website quotes £3640 for your car with 30k miles so if you are getting £4.5 k Id say that was quite good. Depends really on the price of car you are thinking of buying as the dealer will alter his figures to suit depending on how much he bought the car for.
Just seen this in autoexpress today and I got to admit I kinda like it. When I saw the snap shots of the mark 2 clio I originally hated it but then went on to buy one! I think it will just take a while to get used to the shape. The 3 door is defo better than the 5 door.
Apparently it is a common prob with Renault (what isnt I hear you say!) The wifes Megane had to have a new coil pack fitted as it had failed causing the car to run on 3 cylinders. The car is only 3 years old and just out of warranty. After fitting the new coil pack runs like a dream. When the...
The ring round the stalk determines the "sensitivity" of the sensor i.e in its lowest setting it will ignore small drizzle and in the fastest setting the slightest drop of water will make the wipers wipe. Although I find it annoying as it never wipes at the right time or its on the wrong...
You sure it wasnt there when you picked the car up? Id try my luck with the garage you bought it from. I got my bumper painted after a month as I noticed the bandits had damaged it and touched it up before delivery. When I took it back no questions were asked and they resprayed it. Its worth...
My Clio goes in on tuesday for the 3rd attmept to fix the idle speed. Last time they only drove it for 2 miles (I took a note of the mileage) and they just re programmed the ECU but surprise surprise this did not solve the problem. Again like you it only happens when car fully warm and if you...
Flame red metallic pearlescent works best for me. Dont see too many of them on the road either!

Just to clarify the point above - put the copper grease on the BACK of the pads - the bit that the brake piston pushes against. This might stop them squealing.
I have just had my ECU reprogrammed under warranty as the idle speed was too high ater being warmed up, however my car is the 1.2 16v so could be a common problem. I havent had any probs since (touch wood). The only reason they reprogrmmaed the ECU was that they could find no fault with the car??
Your 98 clio will be 8v 60bhp, the 2001 dCi is 65 bhp. The diesel might be a bit slower 0-60 but wont be much in it. It will be better 50-70 where it counts as it will have more torque. Also you can "chip" the 65 bhp dCi to give you 80 bhp I think. The newer 16v 1.2 has 75bhp and is quite...
