Speed Academy currently restoring an EVO 6 which is a great watch alongside Gears & Gasoline who do some great road trips but are also tuning an EVO 9 (i believe) and K Swapping a Civic. Both in depth and really insightful. Better than the usual LLF, Sideways Sid comedy IMO
Where are you based mate?
Your more than welcome to come and have a go in mine. Mine been turbo’d for around 4 years and it is epic. I agree with some of the points made - if your putting a lot more power but more importantly torque through the car other components will need upgrading to cope...
Just read through your current progress. Love the bits your adding. Seats and steering wheel look ace - love a Proto tipo (Singer et al)
Keep up the good work - getting to be a very nice car. I wouldn’t discount the low boost turbo btw. I think it transforms what is an already great car...
Love that. Had exactly the same car and colour and like @Sir_Dave it got wrote off in the early 2000’s. Great car, nimble handling, food packaging interior but my 172 cup was in a different league when i swapped it in 2006. Do miss it tho and you never see any around anymore.
I’ll just leave this here. Your welcome 🙂.

I would love too.....but it’s sorned and off the road unfortunately. Needs the cam belt doing which i will have done in the New Year. When it is back of course you can mate. Where you based? It is awesome by the way - once you experience it you won’t look back :)
No it was done by a man by the name of Andy Greer. He is well renowned on this forum for being the worlds worst businessman.....but luckily mine was one of his first conversions before he morphed into Captain bodge. I haven’t driven either but i would assume they would be a riot. The biggest...
Having had my car for years with a low boost setup i would recommend it all day long. Puts the car in another league performance wise. Been pretty reliable but never as a daily driver. Mine has 235bhp and 227lbs ft and that is about as much as I would put through the car without ruining it...
For me the biggest “must change” bits are:
New steering wheel
15” wheels as it drives so much better (IMHO)
Coilovers - my BC’s on soft are a lot more composed and better riding than my cup dampers with cooksports
Buckets seats. Recaro PP or Corbeau CS as they are still comfy over long...
