sorry to hear of the crash, hope all are ok
to answer the questions....
1. yep, it can be straightened, probs require a jig though.
2. as for the radiator, depends how bad. could be ok if you keep an eye on it, i.e. water temp and level. carry some rad-weld as somebody previously...
has only just started twittering in the last few days but is only going to get worse. as you say it is a lot worse when damp. will check the inner arch but theyre brand spankers so shouldnt be from there. had a thought that the rocker cover gasket may be leaking a touch on that side and over...
had mine done twice in the last year but the bugger is starting to squeal again!! anyone any ideas whats causing this? the tensioner pulleys been changed too and the belt is as tight as itll go. Im baffled ?? sorry to hijack the post...

get some WD40 on the case mate. had a very similar problem with mine after renewing the dizzy cap and rotor arm(which were well buggered after 90k miles). left the car to stand overnight, it rained and wouldnt start the next morning. couldnt see any problem with water/damp at the spark plug end...
isnt it just whip in the speedo cable? mine certainly does it up to ~35mph. seem to remember my dads old R19 16V having the same problem which Renault amended by fixing some sort of grommet in the cable. it worked but then it doesnt really matter that much does it?

cant remember what the 1.4 is like off the top of my head but the alternator belt and power steering belt are one in the same on the 16V. is more likely that its the bearings in the pulley wheels or alternator or tensioner if youve had the belt changed I would have thought....tis a feckin pest.
is defo something round there. alternator/power steering belt is brand new (as is the tensioner wheel) so only leaves the power steering pulley wheel or the alternator.......will get it diagnosed (further) this week sometime......£5 says it the dearer of the two, tis usually the way
Dont know if anyone else has had this problem but its starting to drive me mad. Ive got a 16V and on start-up and cold running have been getting a squeaking/screeching (which has been getting steadily worse) from around the drive belt area. The problem disappears after the engine warms up and...
aye I noticed that. spoke to the fella at Hill Power and short of buying their own bespoke system (£300+) he couldnt speak highly enough of the Magnex. could well be a demon tweeks job.......
custom built exhaust would be nice mind, havent got the funds or time at the mo though
whats the...
