Pull rubber trim off from inside car,open sunroof fully.Have a look at runners and attachment for glass to see if any allen screws have vanished.If so bend headlining down slightly around sunroof and see if anything drops out.Lining at back of sunroof is glued in place so you cant bend too far...
Top suspension mounts were the problem with mine.Only knocked when on gradient and reversed a yard or so. What was replaced/altered dont know,dont care.The only thing Clarkys been able to fix,albeit 4 attempts. The 182s have had problems with engine mount,off-side, my 172 has been OK so far!!.
Got mine replaced under warranty. Looked as though they had been shot blasted at 18mth old. Passenger side now showing the same again,so its going back. You are covered under there 8year anti-perforation/corrosion and dont settle for any bull otherwise.

If clutch is standard it shouldnt be that heavy.Check how the cable is routed as it comes through the bulkhead.If its fully clipped to the subframe,undo the first to give a more gradual curve around back of engine.If no improvement,replace cable £15ish.Should solve problem?
