Any ideas what this is? Obviously some sort of kit car based on a ford. Couldn’t find much about it but admittedly I didn’t search very hard
Couple of American spots
(A) I just went to Renault dealers and asked if it had been done, that said it wasn't on the system and looked at the car there and then. After it was changed I got a receipt with part numbers ect which I keep with other service/parts paperwork
(b) a little difficult to explain but I'll have a...
mine just failed, luckily I was not driving when it happened i was on my drive. Luckily Renault are only round the corner but decided to take a look myself. So simple to do and easy to see why it fails and how to fix it.
I quoted the above because if memory serves correct, with a known fault...
Might be worth chucking a jump lead from the battery negative to a gearbox/starter motor bolt, if you've not already tried it. Might be a poor earth causing your starting issues, seems strange it would just die. Might even be a poor power connection. The time it would take to check it's worth...
Thanks for the replies guys.
Probably right Tbh, just do what needs doing and check everything else is in good serviceable order.
Never used polybushes before but been in a few cars with them so just wondered if it made a noticeable difference day to day, I know they're not meant to...
So last year I had slight play in lower ball joints as an advisory on my mot, now it's that time of year again and I know it will fail on them this year.
As most of you are aware, renault don't sell the ball joints seperately (unless you get the ren 19 ones )BUT as the car is nearly 9 years old...
After stalking around numerous renault forums it would seem that renault design their engines to have a maximum stress level, ie power output, which is fairly consistant, it seems they don't want people to chase figures. In the end the same points will always fail. As chip pointed out earlier...
great project you've got going on here, like how it keeps getting better and better.
sorry for the pictures but was the easiest way to help explain (not mine but i doubt the owner will mind) how he fixed his jig at the rear of the car to make it more secure and solid,
as we started before...
hi guys, done a search but couldn't find the answer i was looking for.
does the cup only have one pump for front and rear or is it two seperate pumps?
my rear washer still works but the front has packed up, seeing as i don't use the rear washer i was just going to swap them over but can only...
if wired up correctly the oil gauge will show oil level on start up and then drop and come back to show oil pressure when running. not hard to fit an after market gauge if needs be
don't get a copper core rad, waste of time, oe is fine for what you'll be using the car for (renault 5 cup cars...
meant to come back on and explain in a little more detail, my computer is having issues atm so replied from my phone, which was also having issue.
cheers chip, saved me a job
you can run with the boost turned down but will be gutless, the carb will adjust the fueling to a certain degree...
Standard boost pressure is 9 psi so It's not really worth faffing about with adjusters as it's just something else to go wrong, t2s will run 16 happily, best advice I could give would be to remove any boost controllers and get it set up to run about 14psi.
With an ecu adjustable boost is fine...
