might be buying a cheap fiesta and was ringing around insurance companies. expecting really somewhere in the region of £200 premium however everywhere is £370+!

im 25, 2 years NCB and would have thought in the £200's was possible...
you can call up renault UK and they too can tell you if its been done already. if it has there's no need to pay up for a new bonnet catch mechanism. simply undo the 2 bolts holding the catch and give it a good clean/scrub with a brush (i used a brass one) and some WD40. you will notice the catch...
fairly sure the pipe you mean is the crankcase breather. you can get a small filter to pop onto the end of it.
reason why you haven't got a hole for it to go to on the hose you have is because you haven't got a 5 GTT specific induction hose.
after losing my 2G (had it for 2 years) i've been sent out a 8GB 3G as an insurance replacement.

well gave it a go and no fuel coming out. gonna try powering up the fuel pump via the battery to eliminate whether the fault is with the fuel pump or the wiring.
just had a thought. if i removed the fuel line from the fuel rail this might de-pressurise the fuel in the system.
then if i attempted to start it up the fuel pump 'may' prime meaning a) its working, b) there's no problems with the connection and c) the fault lies elsewhere.
just thinking it...
im not getting 12V on the two thicker wires. however the relay is clicking so im assuming this is fine.
so by the sounds of things if somewhere within the wire that the fault lies? would running power and earth off the battery to the fuel pump work?
