Thanks. Thought there should be a clip or something as thats what Ive had on other dampers for different cars. No clip on this one.

Ive just bought a brand new oem front shock for my car. When it arrived the rod was all the way into the shock body as per photo. I can pull the rod out and also push it back in and then it stays in. I would of expected the rod to stay extended once fully extended, but I can push it back in...

So Ive removed the engine bulkhead carpet thing and replaced with the heatshield off a 1.2. It came without any nuts, and Ive fitted it with an M6 nut but it doesnt fully tighten and the heatshield rattles! Ive tried an M5 nut but its too small. Can anyone please tell me where I can get nuts...
