Could it be the cabling in to the starter motor. I know that there is a thick live cable but is there also a small lead that makes the actuator move and thus engage the starter pin on to the fly wheel. Is this is not engaging then it may not send the power to the live feed to turn the motor...

Did mine last night. Ended up inserting a nail down the middle of the cable which then made it more ridged and thus easier to push through the grommet. then just cut the cable off with the nail in afterwards.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but how do I get the power steering reservoir off. I think it just unclips but i didn't want to force it.
