It's just been revealed earlier today some information and a concept image on what the game will look like and will be going back to a modern setting like from Battlefield 3, 4 and also mentions about Battlefield 2042. Specialists are defo out and Classes are back.

Here's the link https://www.ign.com/articles/exclusive-first-battlefield-concept-art-revealed-vince-zampella

Here's JackFrags video on it

I'm getting exited, don't want to get my hopes up though

I definitely won't be pre-ordering this after the s**t that was the last one. Will see how it goes before jumping in.

Hope it's good.

Like @Cub. , I have little appetite for the next cod, highly unlikely to buy it as I think black ops games are quite s**t.

BF 3&4 were great. Not sure if the new one needs a battle royale. I'd be happy if it was just a very good MP game (and campaign)

I really hope it's current gen only and they don't pander to PS4/ Old Xbox and make use of the hardware, but they mentioned the switch 2 (unless that's a mega upgrade on the switch 1).

The last game was absolute dogshit, quite frankly I don't hold out much hope for this.

Everyone wants another Bad Company game, just f**king give the people what they want?

Yeah i hope they bring in a campaign on this one, i didn't use much of the function where you can play with other platforms on the bf2042, still only played about 20ish hours iirc.

I still wont be pre ordering it and wait till after launch. Thing is is you pre order it you get early access to the game and get the odd perks or dog tags or something, not, cool to say you were there at the start. I hope you get to play the game and not pre order it

The last single player campaign they did in BFV wasn't particularly great.

The one in BF1 though, that was f**king amazing.

I’ll be getting it, just because battlefield. But it’ll never be the BF we all know and love

Haven't played a Battlefield game since 2142!
Still the best iteration of Battlefield for me. My Top 3 being...

  1. 2142
  2. Bad Company 2 (excellent campaign and great multiplayer)
  3. 1942

Despite the hate for BF2042, I have put about 100 hours into it - purely on skirmish. Nothing better than switching your brain off and taking on some AI bots for a round or two. I did try to launch MP in that, but it seemed dead from the lobbies?

BF2 was still my fav, sniping people running up through the streets on Karkland!

BF1 has probably the best atmosphere, the campaign especially.
Some of the historical snippets put up at the start and the end of the campaign sections were great.

I have to say though, out of all of the BF games, I found BF1 online to be the most frustrating of them by far. I don't know whether or not it got improved and patched, but pretty much everything on it felt broke. Sniping deaths from pistol shots - enemies at 10ft evading your shotgun shot or taking 5% damage. Weird hit boxes, being hit through cover and/or vehicles. It was dogshit - hated that online. And that bayonet charge crap....

The bayonet charge was one of the best things.

There was nothing better when a group of people were holed up at a strangle point, than seeing one bloke go steaming in and knife someone right in the face. Then there was all the amusement of the when someone missed, and you'd see some bloke go charging into the corner of a room and promptly get shot to pieces.

Operations, becoming squad leader, blowing the whistle and leading the charge. 😍
The Commander -> Squad Leader -> Squad Members structure of BF2142 worked brilliantly when people played along with it. Didn't happen often (usually the player acting as Commander had zero clue as what to do) - but you felt part of a much bigger team than being a pack of 16 lone wolves.

Being able to hop in to an online game and use an iPad for the Commander Mode was genius, but EA pulled the plug on it. Worked really well on the goes I had with it. Most likely got canned due to licence agreements etc rather than lack of use.
