Have a look at Microsoft ICE. I can't remember if it does HDR but I use it for panoramas as it's much better than Lightroom.

Affinity Photo is worth a look. Regularly has a sale price offer too - pretty sure I only paid about £39 for my licence?

If that's a one off the. perfect price for something I'll probably use once a month

Yes @andy_con - I've only ever paid for it once. About two years ago I think now?

No doubt they might do a total, full-blown revamp - but I've had plenty of updated versions where the update has been 'free' - without having to pay any more.

They do a free trial anyway before you buy, so that would be worth a look regardless.

@andy_con @White16valver - v1.9 of Affinity Photo has just been released.

Free for existing licensed users. The biggest plus point seems to be the Windows GPU acceleration being enabled - previously it was a Mac-only benefit.

Looks like they've chucked in some freebies when you log back in too...

When I was editing my pictures around 10 years ago I was using Photoshop Elements 11, I had given a key for it and it did me for a bit. I haven’t tried downloading it again and see if it works. Just wondering if it’s worth getting the newest versio. I just want something basic and not bothered about a full version of Photoshop and certainly don’t want to be spending money on monthly payments, would like a very cheap one off payment which will do me for a few years. I still got all my RAW files from my photography days and are worth posting up on the forum

I honestly would just subscribe to Adobe CC, I think I pay a tenner a month which gets you both Lightroom and PS, and 20gb.

I use Lightroom mobile 99% of the time, and it’s excellent.

Black Friday (or cyber Monday) earlier this year I got Lightroom for £50 for the year I think.
