Good morning people!

How would you describe 182 dampers for a 172?

Stiffer? Better option?

Pretty sure they're the exact same parts, it's the 172 Cup and 182 Cup shocks that are stiffer and the 182 Cup that have different bolt spacing

172/182 shocks are the same.
172 Cup shocks are stiffer but fit 172/182.

182 Cup shocks are stiffer AND have different bolt spacing so not a direct fit to 172/182.

182 Trophy shocks................................you can't afford 182 Trophy shocks, and they're not worth the money these days.

Ok... So is it wise to buy 182 non cup front and rear dampers for an 172 phase 1?

Yes as they're the same part although I have 172 cup for mine
