Which Battery?

Just wondering what battery you guys are using on your 1*2?

Mine is just for track so doesn’t get used all of the time.

I’m having to charge the battery every time I want to use it for track days which isn’t a problem but not ideal at the same time if I need to move it randomly.

Battery is still in the engine bay so standard battery size will be fine.

Can you not fit a kill switch to save it when it’s not being used?

Once its gone flat itll generally never be as good again.

Kill switch or pop the negative off if laid up for a bit between trackdays. I use bosch personally, no issues.

I could do I suppose and kind of makes sense to do it now while I have the car in bits.

I turn my kill switch and it fires straight up. This is usually once a year for CSF so it does work. 😂

I've got a Bosch S5 in mine, although it did start leaking acid so not sure I would recommend it if you let it go flat every now and then 😂

I have one but don’t like to leave anything on charge all the time as my garage is at work so paranoid about fire.

I run a PowerLite PS-09 Lithium Ion battery, with a Durite 2-021-00 disconnect terminal, easiest weight saving I did on the car, 10kg iirc. Bought it back in 2020 and it’s been fine, I take it off over the winter and leave it on a trickle charger in the house as I have no power in the garage, otherwise I leave it on the car but disconnected over the summer when in use. Not sure they make this exact model anymore but worth looking into an alternative if you fancy some easy weight saving, you will just need to make up some sort of clamp to hold it in the bay or such like.
