CS@25 The First Meet - Southend Seafront - 8pm, January 27th, 2001

I was down there in 2002 in my mates 106 gti. As we approached the casino end I saw a load of silver 172's and a Cliosport banner, so I wrote the website down and decided to check it out.
I knew what a 1.8 16v was so I decided to look into one and signed up to CS (I had really wanted a 90 spec Escort RS Turbo, or a Fiesta RS Turbo but the ones I saw were all knackered)
I got the 'valver' and loved it, my dad thought it was pretty good too (he liked the wide arches and bonnet vent!) but the phase 2 172 had recently come out, so he got one that was a few months old. Due to life things, that car is now mine and I will never sell it.

IIRC they used to meet at the Strawberry Fields pub carpark next to the big Tesco superstore before cruising down to the seafront. I had a black J plate Valver lowered on 17" Venoms 😁
