I'm currently trying to make my way through the "Don't Fear The Reaper" secret ending, and it's quite a challenge on hard difficulty. Probably the hardest challenge in the entire game. Well, that one particular character that you have to fight as you make your way to Mikoshi in the bowels of Arasaka Tower. HP is reduced, and reduces by so many percent every 45 seconds or so. Health items only work up to that reduced rate, or not at all if you are on death's door. And that character can easily one-hit you. No saves during the mission either - although it auto-saves at the point you meet AS so you don't have to run the entire mission from the start.

Even though i have been knocking PanAm off i did the date mission with Rogue last night, and i am finding myself quite attracted to her.... :ROFLMAO:

Agree with the difficulty level, well so far, have gone a netrunner type build and i can kill a room full of enemies without firing a bullet in a couple of seconds.

Ow hello..

Altough I'm not particularly happy with injuring my knee two days ago and having to see an orthopaedic surgeon, the timing with getting a new laptop is not too bad😂

Any tips for a first playthrough?

All depends on how you intend to play, sleathly, gungho, net runner type build, good starter tips, do the side missions, and any NPC police missions you come across whilst exploring, quick way to level up and earn some decent cash, don't buy weapons, you pick up all the weapons you need either through enemies dropping them or missions, if you like a sub machine gun make sure you pick up the Fenir when doing the monk mission early on, i am still using it now towards the end of the game, their are a couple of icon weapons available early on, so it's worth looking out for them.

One of the best things i have bought in the game is the cyberware that automatically heals you when you get below 25% health, saves you having to f**k about in the middle of a fire fight, but it really is down to personal preference on how you play, so many options and things to do, you won't be disappointed.

i am quite jealous, i only have a 3070ti so can't please with Ray Tracing on as the FPS nose dives, i imagine they will look pretty fine on your setup...enjoy mate.

Thank you, will probably take me ages to get through the game with all the side missions as I usually turn the place upside down a la Fallout or Borderlands.

I will admit I'm quite excited to start, never really had a computer with decent recent performance as I've always played mostly on console.

It is, I get some sort of FOMO in these type of games and I turn into a massive hoarder, in a good way, but it does slow down the pace.

That's one of the things I loved about Doom Eternal, constant frantic energy and pace without having to worry about min/maxing stats or gear. Volume to eleven and go.

Finally finished it last night, epic game, will probably play it through again at some point.

The final battle against Smasher was a chore, first time i did it, well almost got him down to 20% health and for some reason he just disappeared so had to start it again, i have to say i was a little disappointed with the actual end, i chose to try and save myself, it felt a bit...meh.

Thank you for using spoiler tags, I've not even finished the first act but already loving it.

Totally lost at the vast amount of weapon options, upgrades, tier system, attributes and skills, but I'm sure that will come.

Looks like it will have quite high replayability.

Would not like to spoil anything for you mate, if i had one criticism of the game its the Cyberware upgrade system, for me it's far too complicated, i understand why they have done as you can configure your character in a lot of different ways to suit your style of play, but sometimes it's a ballache upgrading.

A little tip, if your planning on doing the beat the brat missions get Gorilla arms as soon as you can, they help a lot, also when you level up more they allow you to rip open doors you may normally struggle to get to, also aim to get reinforced tendons or fortified ankles early doors, this allows you just higher and further, allowing you access places you wouldn't normally be able to.

Thanks for the tips!

Did the first cyberpsycho today which was quite intense so early on, needed four tries to take her down. Near the end of the fight my 6 year old jumped at me from behind trying to scare me, I had my noise cancelling headphones on so it nearly gave me a heart attack 😂

My lad has a habit of coming up to me when I'm mid game and putting his hands on my shoulders.
Final circle in warzone, most of the team dead, somehow it's all on me and I absolutely s**t it 😂

Couple of hours in now, level ten and leaning heavily towards the intelligence tree. Overclock looks rather good if paired with blood daemon, queue to high heavens, kill and repeat?

Should I upgrade my gear already or save upgrade parts for later in the game?

Rocking a pistol/shotgun combo for the moment which seems to work rather well with the quick hacks.

Still not done much on the story missions, but everywhere I walk there seems to be something happening to distract me😂

Is that everything? Arms, spine, eyes etc? Is the stuff ripper docs sell any good?
On the original version different ripper docs sold different items, but now they are all very similar, also be aware that depending how you lovely your skill try some cyberware can't be used, i went through the same and didn't upgrade my body much at all at first, but that limits you when you get to the tier 4 and 5 cyberware.

Basically, just try and shop around the different rippers for the best gear.

However, there's a ripper called Charles around Kabuki Centre Plaza who's part of a gig, if you complete the gig and decide to spare him he gives you a 20% discount on chrome. He's a great way into upgrades when you're low on €$

I think I need to reset my skill tree because I have been doing bits of everything 😂
The trouble with doing bit of everything is you don't become good at anything until later on in the game... :ROFLMAO: , i tended to hit cool and tech and intelligence so i could increase my net runner skills.

Tbf, I just go in all guns blazing. Got bollocked during a few missions that required stealth.

I've hit the point of no return in the main story now but I've still got loads of side jobs to do. Must get back into it this week.

You just get paid a little less normally when you don't do stealth. once you go past it mate you can't go back, just so you know.

Yeah I'm not going past the mission yet, gonna finish the side quests and Dogtown first (unless I can still do Dogtown after?)

Not sure, but if it was the same as mine i ended up not being able to do anymore missions, so i am gona go back to a previous save and do everything else first, i only have about 6 missions to do now.
