CSF26 ClioSport Festival 2026 - Tickets On Sale Now!

Noooo, I was just super slow in the morning. I've never been to Cadwell and I was honestly feeling really overwhelmed with how technical it was. I had picked up some pace by the afternoon but was getting really annoyed with myself going up Coppice(?), the fast uphill left after the track entry.

@YorkshireKyle was leaving me standing there.

By the end of the day though I absolutely loved Cadwell, maybe my favourite track now!

You were going well all day sir.

Annoyingly, I think the session I was behind you for a good 5 or 6 laps, my camera died!

Going up Coppice is scary, I tried following the pair of Mk1 Valvers and just couldn't carry the corner speed and had a scary brown pants moment. I went over to say hello and saw they were both on slicks and both cars were about 400kg lighter than mine so that explains the corner speed!

Always liked them. Never sure how reliable those engines are though so never took the plunge.
they're really sensitive mate. gotta keep on top of maintenance a bit more than the german stuff, but if you're fine with that they're golden. can take some serious s**t while still keeping light with a 1.6!

Had a superb weekend.

Was great to speak to so many awesome people old and new faces. Just a great bunch with this stupid addiction we all share surrounding cars!

Even my A6 managed to get out on track albeit just the wheel bolt that helped plug the missing one from @Sidnancy S3! 😁

Currently trawling through the many photos I took, sadly many of the trackside ones are bloody awful! But a few are decent, I just need to keep practicing.

But very happy with this one...

A man and his Clio (unless it's not his, in which case it's just Man & Clio) 😂

Blimey, I must've been so quick on track that I missed all the professional photographers!

Correction: I thought I was too quick, but @SharkyUK is quicker.. 😂

I've also got a 308 GTI, I've been stalking @Xiolage for a while but didn't realise he was on this forum. It's a great car, and good value compared to the usual Golf/Cupra alternatives.

What a fantastic weekend it was again! Many many thanks to everyone who helped organise this, it just seems to be getting better every year.

First time Cadwell and glad to hear @Filters and @Sunglasses_Ron liked the airconditioned, chauffeured ride!

Next time you can try to get these numbers up a bit more @Filters 😂

Absolutely loved the place, the elevation changes are intimidating but once I got the hang of it a bit I had an amazing time.

Great banter all round and had a good laugh when the nerd squad assembled and threw all their tisms at the Howdi and got it running in no time.

Can't wait till next year!

Not sure I have the vocabulary to put into words just how amazing this weekend has been from my point of view, made some new friends., met up with and had a great night out with food with the usual suspects but amazing we also had some of the OG crew joining us too... really was a step back in time from when Carbs were King.. haha..
Amazing circuit and the first time I have taken Banandrama round there so that was quite a challenge, so very different to the Trusty old 9 Turbo and various Clio's I have thrown around Cadwell Park... She didn't let me down or try to kill me, which was nice.. Amazing donations from all the " Hot Lappers " again this year and I Thank , each and every one of you, kept me on toe's all day.. Great laps out too with Andy Tucker riding shotgun, I enjoyed that way more than my front tyres did.. Over 162 miles on track , hoping to get some vid's up as and when , Couldn't touch most of you guy's on power alone but had some great fun in the twisty's.

Great day on track , great company throughout the day and evening and a great easy start to sunday , Adrenaline was high after the track sessions, I was packing the van up and stilling buzzing , it took a few pints and a rather large portion of Jack Daniels to finally bring me back down on saturday night , luckily in time to watch the match :).

Thank You all, each and every one of you for making these events, meals, meet up's, casual chat's happen..

So there a really really important thank you that my fkn useless memory forgot!

@Diamond Performance aka Paul. You did a truly amazing job with the hot laps and helped massively to up the amount raised for the charity,

That’s on top of the very generous raffle prize that you donated.

We really can’t thank you enough.

(and on a personal note, thank you for the wheel stickers ❤️)

Nikki loved the hot laps with you so thanks for that mate!
She was trying to hard sell me your passenger seat however was a bit tight for me.

Had a towing buddy on the way back aswell until you forked off the motorway.

Gonna have us a Convoy good buddy..., my sat nav asked if I wanted a route 20 minutes faster so I peeled off, Red Arrows style.

Thank You and was happy to see another happy return customer, I think she was shocked I remembered her. Loved every minute, shame we didn't catch up to you on track.

No worries on the seat, I will let you know if any come up in the club .

Lovely to catch up with you mate, even better to get out with you for a few laps after all these years 👌 cracking little motor too, fair play!
Sorry you were flying solo on the hotlaps, hope I'll be back in action next year.. or sooner.

Have to mention what a lovely bloke Paul @Diamond Performance is. He was one of the few that supported me with my racing and was/is always more than a sponsor to me. His generosity extends far beyond ClioSport.net - he's always doing something for charity or helping others in some way shape or form.

If you've not bought something from him yet, please do 🙏

Around 5 min 30 sec on your video was the first time all day I thought... christ thats some serious wing on the MX5 😂 👌

Anyone know the person with the E36? We spoke earlier in the day but I forgot his username..

The sound of your car in the afternoon when I had the roof off, Amazing ....even with a helmet on..

as far as wings go, it's more a wing with a car attached , :ROFLMAO: ,it helps a lot at Blyton, Mallory .... not so much here at Cadwell....
