When i got out my car earlier i noticed a clunking noise when wobble the steering wheel. This was with the engine off, but key in so steering lock isnt on. Any one got any ideas? I have recently had problems with 'loose' steering could this be the cause?

what about taking the glove box out? This i what i normally do to get access to the back. There are some screws under the silver strip and some more dotted about should be easy to find

I'm not majorly experianced or familiar with steering bits and bobs, but i jacked the ack up at the weekend and put it on axle stands. nothing seems like it has any play in it the wheel doesnt move unless it moves the steering wheel too. Common sense would say there is nothing wrong or worn out...

I have the same problem. My 182's steering feels 'loose' it turns in ok one direction but feels uncomfortable turning the other. I have recently had a 4 wheel alignment carried out but it hasnt really improved. its an 05 with 47k.

best thing with the 197 and chav'syou dont need to do a lot to embarrass them then just slow down and watch their faces as they and their chavets drive past without looking haha makes it all worth while!!

its to stop you ragging the nuts off it when cold. Just try driving it slowly and waiting for it to warm up like should be practised before giving it beans I've had the problem once and that was becasue i was in a rush other than that i take my time and all is good

i reckon you should count your self lucky :) borrow a 197 drive that around for a week then get back in your 1*2 you will soon appreciate it lol
