i cant believe the prices.. ive got a type r and there is no cambelt just a chain :-) my sister has just got a quote of 500ish from the usual garage she uses but them taking it to renault on their trade account i think.

I had a look on there site... do they do services and repairs?

Hi all posting on behalf of my sister Her 182 cambelt is due a change the local dealer has quoted 857 quid :lolup: anyone know of a good place to get this done in norfolk.. maybe a renault specialist? any help appreciated cheers :cool:

I dont have a 182 yet lol Going to look at one over the weekend I quite like the stripes but would only have them done at a renault dealer and if they only do white i think they will look a bit harsh on a black car

Hi Im looking at buying a 182 I really like the gordini stripes. How much do Renault charge for the stripes + applying? Also do they only come in white? Im looking at a black 182 and i think white stripes might look a bit rubbish Fancy some dark grey ones Thanks

If you're in the 'trade' you should know what to do I would personally swap it as yours has done alot of miles and will be very hard to sell. Get the clio buy a logbook and get a service on it Sorted !

The cars are worth nearly the same amount of money. But the clio may may be worth a bit more due to mileage the only problem i would have is that the clio has no service history.. and it may be repaired etc... Run some checks through the RAC. An HPI check is only £5.00 on there now

I cant drive a VTR anymore lol :nono: Plus you have to declare if you have had any points within the last 5 years Ive still got another year to go :mad:

I've got to get one I will stick the excess up and add parents as named drivers etc... Looking at £1400 odd i reckon I will get a rough idea before i get one And then if i find the right one stick a deposit down on it get the quote all ready for a transfer when i pick my clio up a week...

I believe the quote is with no excess I will call my insurer up and say stick me some excess on that. I forgot about doing that TBH lol Im sure they will help. They are a broker and seem helpful :) Just need to find the right clio now
