Brake pedal switch is the normal solution, but in rare cases like mine it's the active yaw sensor. Most garages don't have a clue but fyi it is located under the brake handle cover (I assume 172/182) it's a black box with an electrical connector. A bit of a wiggle of this connector usually sorts...

k-tec...heh gave me £27 rebate for a 600mile round trip. Which I had to take 2 cars and a weekend away with 2 babies. (thats 1200 miles in total) and at that they didn't plan on giving me anything.

Renault say new sensor is £370 but needs calibrating to the car, sounds like main dealer ££££. Unless anyone else is capable.

New brake pedal switch is £11 from renault and takes minutes to fit (see posts on setting up. Mine however still has the fault and comes up with fault code 78 lateral acceleration sensor coherence. Someone mentioned a yaw sensor under the handbrake.

I think were getting somewhere now. The cv boots ar fine. If they were faulty then the wheels would be covered in grease. A couple of years back (under warranty) this fault happened and Renault did mention a yaw sensor, but at that time it was also randomly applying individual breaks (scary!!)...

The cv boot sounds promising, I'll take a look tomorrow. Sounds quite technical, where is the boot? Is this where the front drive shafts enter the engine? Didn't realise there was any sensors there.

Have heard about the clio 182. Spec looks the same apart from a different exhaust and cruise control. But how is the extra power acheived, is it just the exhaust or has the engine been tuned?:o
