my clio failed to start last week, finally got a chance to look at it tonite, the SM itself is fine it appers to be the small wire above it, which i think is for the solenoid (correct me if im wrong) but when that is 'wiggled' it starts. just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem, as...

take wheel and inner arch off, then take off all the oem CAF and the acoustic valve, then route the new CAF down were the original was, i'm no mechanic wis and took me around an hour, well worth it in my opinion, gives induction noise from the where the trumpet is!! :) pics of where it goes down...

i fitted mine, used a samco elbow, that i cut about an inch or so off so that i could bend the CAF down where the old CAF went and removed the acoustic valve, then got a trumpet to finish it off in the fog light hole. Made masive improvement on mine, around 6-7mph at 1/4 mile.

totaly agree, the standard pee-shooters are awful! they usualy stick out loads as well

i got mine of ebay for £140, but from GDI think there about £500 i was the same, not wanting it to loud, it doesn't boom on the motorway, only realy raspy and loud on full throttle, sounds deep and 'meaty' at normal speeds. i'll admit the tailpipes are a bit big but they fill the cut outs well...
