Yes they are :) Apparently everything else looks in tip top condition
I used to have a gripper diff with helical crown wheel and pinion. I then had the issue with the casing cracking and also syncro issues. I then found a gearbox for sale that was a gripper diff with straight cut final drive...
So it was a week today since at Croft and having the gearbox noise. We originally thought the crownwheel had lost a tooth but I dropped it off at Gripper (its a gripper box) they have been massively helpful and very quickly turned it round. It turns out its actually lost a tooth off the pinion...
Re: Track Attack French Trophy or 750 Motor Club Clio 182 Series 2014 : What to choos
OP do you mean French Trophy production class or normal French Trophy? If normal then the reg’s are very relaxed for suspension and engine but it’s very expensive to build a competitive car.
Does anyone have any experience of WD Mycloud? Have a small capacity MBA and its always completely full so just need somewhere I can remotely store my photos, music, videos etc
I'm clueless with technology so just need something simple. Maybe a silly question but will it be quick enough that I...
I'm looking for a sound bar at the moment! Started off with a £100 budget but being told I need to spend £250ish to get anything worthwhile :( Anyone have any experience around that price point?
Thanks
I still can't my head round the nissans! The day before they were doing 1.19's and then they were crawling round in our races and then back out in Britcar the other weekend and quick again haha! I think the car's just didn't take well to not running slicks for once
Don't change them on those cam's IMO I've run standards on those cam's for 2 years and it spends all its time between 5-8k rpm and not had any failures. I'm just worried about uprated springs after seeing a failure on a set of Catcams springs. Will think very carefully before I buy valve springs...
Haha I know good to see it from another angle lol! Ambition over adhesion :o
EDIT: That black swift swerved across infront of me when I was lapping him in race 1! Only a matter of time until someone gets hurt with people driving like that :(
Sorry Sam I only have the one picture somewhere on this thread and i've now moved to MK so won't be back with the car until xmas! If you still need pics at xmas just let me know and i'll get some and send them over :)
Haha I can only dream not a chance of her doing that :(!
I didn't do anything mate Fred, Zoltan and Tony did it last year :) all I know is it works well sorry I can't be of more help!
Do you think the spring was just a total failure or was there anything that could of caused it? What have catcams said about it? Do you know what rate the springs were?
Yes mate AST 2's :)
Haha I just tried and got voicemail ;)
Yes don't get me wrong could play around with the valving but then it wouldn't be much cheaper than the new setup but still lack the adjustability of the 3 or 4 way kit which is what I feel I need now.
The AST's have been great for me...
The speed differences can be scary on a trackday where as Tony says to do a test day everyone needs a race licence so the pace is normally a fair bit higher so you aren't lapping the same car every 3 laps like you would on a trackday.
Had a little jaunt into the field at Croft lol
Also found some of the polystyrene board from Donington! The engine bay was full of mud from the field so time to give it all a final clean for the year
Parked up for the foreseeable future :(
Stripped off all the bits I need to get...
If you want to have a meaningful day of setting the car up or playing around with different things you really need to do a test day. It's just not possible on a trackday to get the consistent laps with no traffic and can't really push as hard as you need to. For example Cadwell the other day got...
I don't even have to undo the ball joint as I just have the one 24mm nut on the RCA kit. Just under the car doing it now :) one nut and then shafts out!
Yes Sonny as Chip and Tony say I just take the whole lot through the top. I will always do everything I can to avoid removing the subframe for the reasons Chip says.
Haha that's very true :)
It's properly out of your way just to give me a hand but thanks for the offer mate I think i'm going to go down now and pull it apart (Now to explain to Sophie why i'm taking a gearbox and set of dampers to MK lol)
Just when checking over the car and checking for wheel play, there is movement in the 12 and 6 position. I started to feel it when driving now aswell so time for them to come off. I had the same problem when they were new but then it got sorted.
