Long time no update.
The Clio is still in my possesion and is going nowhere.
Since my last update I had the MOT done and it required a rack boot ans cv boot refitting.
The boot locking mechanism failed, I've ordered one from Tim Finch but havnt had chance to fit it.
The starter motor finally...
When you're changing yoyr alternator, get to this point and the wrong one gets delivered...
Think my time with this Clio is over. I'm going to strip some ofthe valuables and put standard on and get it sold. Its let me down too many times and I just don't trust it.
I'm getting it MOT'd on...
Havnt got any currently.
The bumper has missing paint on the nearside front and a million stone chips where its been badly painted and its too thin.
Nsf quater panel has a massive crack and paint missing.
Bonnet has a huge dent dead centre
Paint bubbled on rear arch
Bit of rust by the door...
This is the way im currenty tipping.
Only thing i have to put back to standard are the wheels and shifter kit.
My only issue is the bodywork is in somewhat poor condition so I'm not sure what i could get for it.

Hi everyone.
I'm thinking of breaking or selling my Clio because I've got too much money it in, its had a few too many issues recently and i fancy something else.
Is there any large benefit to breaking a 182? Im struggling to see where the money comes from apart from the obvious.
Cup turinis...
Been a bit naff on the Clio front.
I found this air filter that appears to be genuine but I'm not 100% sure. It works and I'm keeping it.
I had an incident at the last Autosolo.
All sorted now with a bit of faffing around.
Anyway I'm happy ish with the state of the Clio, I have a few jobs to...
So I'm at the stalemate with my Clio at the minute, I love the bloody thing but its cost me a small fortune since buying it back in April last year. I've got to the point where I'm considering cutting my losses. I'm just after some opinions on what it might be worth if I decided to call it a day...
I'm not entirely sure how its ended up that damaged in a few months admittedly. Must have been rubbing in the battery tray.

The Ramair filter was a bit past it, only a few months old so its most likely my fault for not mounting it properly.
I ordered a pipe to replace the original intake and a filter for the breather a few weeks ago so I decided to fit all that Jazz.
Filter is tie wrapped out of danger for now and...
Rear beam polybushed today, I was told it could be done without removing the beam but we decided for a few extra bolts it wasn't worth faffing around.
Alot easier than I expected but on the passenger side we dropped the whole mount and the Captive bolt spun so we ended up welding 2 of them.
The...
Put a 1st lambda on last week and it's fixed it 90%. Havnt had the "limiter effect" since and only an occasional misfire.

Got to putting the first lambda on and it's fixed the cold running issue 90%. No more limiter feel, occasional misfire.

Today I picked the car up from the Garage who did the Clutch. My PMS shifter has started rattling since... other than that a dirty key its great.
From there I went to a mates house and polybished the wishbones, replaced both anti roll bar outer rubbers and one of the ball joints. ( other side...
To be honest the handbrake is just s**t. You can get it working properly but the abs works with it. Even with the traction control off the abs will cut power with the handbrake locked up.
The way around this is pulling the fuse which them bias the brakes to 50/50, what happens then when you...
I dont use it, it doesn't work. I managed to get it to lock up once on gravel, just.
To be honest the Clios arnt great for autosolos. Won an event at Lymm earlier this year because it was a really open course. Really struggle on the tighter courses.

So Sunday was the last Autosolo of the year. It went fairly s**t. The course had a couple of parts I couldn't get round because of how tight it was. After the first set the course was opened up a bit and I could get round well.
Traction was a problem for the first 5 laps too, old wet go kart...
Admittedly my sabelt was alot better for driving but for pondering to and from work this is loads better. For the amount of time the sabelt would be good its not worth it.

Wow, halfords [emoji90][emoji90]
Doesn't look like its had a dephaser done. Providing it runs fine and such would suggest the belt change has actually been done right.
My suggestion would be keep an ear for the dephaser going faulty, you wont miss it your car will sound like a diesel when...
So today I put the bumper that came with the car as a spare on, it had the exhaust trims with it and it looks loads better!

So I'm leaving the trade tomorrow so I'll no longer have access to diagnostic equiptment. I've seen a fair bit about ebay CLIP and I feel like its my best option for home diagnostics for the price. Either that or rs tuner.
Anyway, I've seen it needs a 32 bit system to work. What are people...
