i wasn't overly keen on the optional 19s (adelaide) , but it was a prebuilt car with a date 3 weeks away rather than a 6 month factory order, I'm sure they will grow on me, there is possibility of a second set of 18s with semi slicks for trackdays
Took delivery earlier this month of this new mk8 Clubsport, first impressions are good, infotainment system takes a bit of getting used to!

its definitely different, in an ideal world i would have an electric column with the feel of a hydraulic one. sometimes if you are trying to park and turning quickly, you fight it, but its a minor inconvenience to be honest, still worth it for the extra space in the engine bay and fewer fluids...
so, engine is in, EPAS is fitted and rack has been looped to itself, Gave the PH1 a clean at the weekend and fitted my 888 tyres in readiness for Snetterton in april.
happy with how it looks now and drives very well. enjoying it!

Got the engine timed up today with help from Alex ex Mark fish motorsport mechanic. Couldn’t of done it without him, got it all bang on so I have no doubt that it will run Sweet. Also fitted the cup alternator brackets, should be on track to fit the engine next weekend
we are in partnership with Everrati at work, we have had their cars down in our showroom for photoshoots etc, great work, love the Gulf coloured Porsche!
Engine collected this afternoon from Bristol, no problem for the mighty Polo !
Got a new belt, water pump and dephaser included, to fit before I swap the engines over and I’ll give it a good clean and coat of paint.
Back home had the wheels off for the arches to get a good scrub along with the wheels!

Always got to have a project on the go!, most recent one was a E39 5 Series that had been abandoned at the start of Covid. with that fixed up and sold on i was on the hunt for my next one. had 4 or 5 1*2's years ago, and sold my turbo RB to purchase my first 'grown up' car, an M135i, have...
great thread, and lovely upgrades, hoping to get out on track as much as you have, next year myself, hoping my project PH1 becomes a similar spec to your 182 in years to come
top work!

Hello mate, she is burning oil at high revs so need to diagnose what that is exactly, rings, stem seals/guides or both!?
Then it’s mainly paintwork which I will get done at work.
going to put it on a ramp at work this weekend and check it over see what else I find! Where abouts you based?
Trailed this today when walking round, not sure what I was doing wrong but I took about 200 blurry photos cause the camera was setting the shutter closed for between half a second and about 8 seconds, couldn't keep my hand Steady
Question, what sort of settings should I use for autosport show at the NEC Birmingham tomorrow, I have a canon 1100d and I'm a bit of an amateur.
Thanks in advance
