So according to that there were only 468 Monaco Blue 172's too. They didn't do a flame red 182 did they, just the Trophy red?

Good thing about the flame red is you don't see many about either. Nice photo!

My Rallye's black, first black car I've owned. A right pain to keep clean. They look stunning in low light or when the sun doesn't shine directly at them, but when it does, any imperfections show right up. I've even had it detailed to reduce the swirls but the sun is still a killer.

Out my budget mate. The Cup thing doesn't bother me too much. I've had a 306 Rallye for a while and so quite fancy something with a few toys for a change, and really like the Flame Red Clios.

Getting on a bit now though. I'm on my second and fancy a bit of a change now. You could buy mine ;)

Makes more sense now. Since looking for a 172, I've been quite surprised with how few seem to be selling. So many on eBay seem to be relisted, definitely a buyers market.

On the hunt for a 172 at the moment and love the look of them in red. A couple of questions if anyone could help out: - Did they do a Cup version in this colour? - Was it a limited edition like quite a few adverts say? Thanks.

This one's my second Rallye and although it's been a great car it's just time for a change. The car's are getting on a bit now (1999) and I fancy trying out a Clio for a bit, especially as it seems the prices of 172's have dropped quite considerably over the last few months.

Just thought I'd say hi to everyone. I registered a few weeks ago but never got round to introducing myself. I've currently got a 306 Rallye which will be up for sale very soon. Past cars of mine include a few 205 GTi's and a Focus RS. I'm on the lookout for a 172 either in the light...

This one has been on Pistonheads for weeks now and for some reason it will not sell. He's dropped it from £4k to £3k and still it's up for sale.
