When fastening the new cable tie in place, cut the excess quite close to the gear stick.
Sounds obvious but the original on mine wasn't and the inch or so of cable tie eventually put a hole in my gaiter due to the sharp edge on it

Ye four decent matching tyres makes a big difference, have a read in the tyre poll thread in the tyre, brake, suspension section. It's a pinned/sticky thread right at top, lots of info in there. Get yourself a coffee as its a few pages long!

A litre will more more than enough mate, so 250ml through each corner will see you right. Start with furthest caliper away and don't let the reservoir run too low/empty.
