I think tyres is 1 key area, I'm running Michelin Exalto in 205s and probably cost over £100 each. I imagine the same in 15" is considerably less. Another thing for me is the look, obviously has to look just right, it's a deal breaker so I don't want to spend good money on something like an...
Playing with camber? What are you using the car for, dedicated track only car or b road blast, work car?
Personally, i'd get it set up on a Hunter machine (IIRC) ride height set, -2 degrees negative on the camber
Just debating what to do regarding wheels. The Clio will be 90% road and maybe 3-4 trackdays a year (being realistic) and a trip to the Ring.
So, for the sake of 3-4 trackdays should i just stay 16"? i'm thinking of a wheel change :o and thinking OZ Ultraleggera in 16"... or just go 15"...
Spotted twice tonight, 1st time at Rayleigh Weir about half 4, silver with orange diamonds, black OZ F1 wheels, lowered. 2nd time it as heading up Bread and Cheese hill Southend bound about half 7 this evening.
Need to change the gearbox and also have a misfire..... Changed a few bits but still there. Could do with an RS tuner plugged in so i don't know if there's anyone local to me that has 1 and wouldnt mind popping over? (Thundersley Essex SS7 area) :o :D
From what I've read the CTS, thermostat won't throw up a fault code. Be good to know the outcome to this, there are so many threads on 182 missfire problems at the moment. Shame you can't borrow a known working MAP sensor
Unplug an injector connector 1 by 1 to find out which 1 is faulty? If it drops down another cylinder its ok, if it stays the same that's the faulty injector... Yet again I'm sure I read this on another misfire thread.
Another genuine Renault part I've bought is a coolant temp sensor, I believe this has been mentioned as a potential problem. It doesn't throw a fault code from what I've read in some threads.... Someone might be along soon to correct me :o
Mine's off the road anyway so while it's sitting there I've been swapping known working parts and buying genuine Renault items. Unless there's documented history showing parts have been fitted (spark plugs) then its worth buying them for your own peace of mind knowing its done. I've not actually...
Im in the same boat, it seems the 182s suffer this problem the most. For me personally I won't drive it anywhere like it so it's probably asking if someone local to me has a RS tuner to hook up to the OBD. My mate works for Renault and has CLIP but he's away on holiday.
Nice purchase, I had a black valver back in 2000 and joined Cliosport at the same time... Cracking cars and with the flared arches and bonnet they do look the part, looks just right with the Turbines
