The F8X are looking like amazing value. I honestly just love how nimble and small the M2 felt. Thats what does it for me. Its a harp back to my Clio in that sense.
Do you think so?
My only experience driving one has been around goodwood on a BMW experience day. The difference between a 140 and an m2 was definitely apparant. The difference between a M2 and M4 didnt really feel like that much. Other than the obvious bump in power and larger car, it didnt...
Careful filling in detailing for the comparison sites that arent big names. I did it recently for a Trader quote and got endless calls for about a week. Was painful.
I always thought detailingworld was a proper pure forum. So much mud throwing recently its insane. Its not even banter like it is on here, people properly get handbags out over 'which wax gives the most gloss'... 🤣
It depends what you're shooting for. Ultimate compound is a pure cutting compound with no fillers. SRP does have a very minor amount of cut, more polish, but has lots of fillers so it will 'fill in' some more minor swirls.
If you're shooting for a true cut and then wax, srp isn't necessary...
No dramas.
@imprezaworks and I are kind of detailing addicts 🤣.
As for a wax. Yeah, the meguiars stuff is half decent. I find some of their products good and others not so much. However, for a beginner, you can't really go wrong with their stuff. Just look for the Carnuba ones over the...
Good luck with the machine polishing. Amazing results can be had with the right technique and knowledge.
In regards to the final stages-
Synthetic Waxes (Sio2 mostly) will generally last longer. They're normally the ones that give insane beading and *should* last up to 12 months if properly...
Possibly mate! Anyway, I think those towels are probably destined to be renegaded.
Ive posted about this way too many times so ill just bite the bullet and renegate them to doorjams or whatever and buy some new ones.
In other news, has anyone tried the Autobrite direct spray air fresheners...
Nope. Maybe used drying aids once or twice when running out of resin for my filter but thats a rarity. I tend to dry and then apply a QD/Spray Wax with a mf cloth.
I would wash them after every use tbh. Only for fear of swirling. Used proper MF wash too nothing with softners in.
I think that...
I must be buying s**t ones then @riz
I have an autoglym one, beige colour. That was amazing then just fell off a cliff performance wise. Also have a huge Auto Finesse one, green, that again was great but just fell off a cliff. F knows what im doing wrong 🤣
ive just 'thrown in the towel' ;) over drying towels. Pure water rinse and f**k off inside now. All mine have gone to s**t and cant get them back. f**k spending another 100 quid only for them to last a few months
lucky you! Mine comes out looking like spaff
Driveway facing south makes for some serious running around in summer trying to dry the car. Much easier just to flick my water system on and pressure wash off with pure water :)
as far as I can tell, theres 2 types of resin for filters. MB115 is designed for softer water just to get it down to 0PPM. MB151 is designed for much harder water applications. Being that my water is 300+ ppm, I hope it lasts better. In my 5L vessel, 151 literally lasted about 3 months before it...
To be honest, I would be trying to sort out the water pressure situation before buying a PW. I say this because I've never come across a PW that is gonna handle a sudden drop of pressure and as you know, this can kill them. I'm sure this is why so many Kartchers go bang. Always drain the...
So, just a heads up, im writing this after having a beer. Yes, its not even 5pm yet, but thats been the kind of day ive had 🤣. Make of that what you will.
My advice to your OH (pics pls) would be quite simple: Find someone who does this for a profession, is reasonably priced and wont spank you...
