Thought i'd pop down as it's local meet for me, a good spread of Clio's. Also noticed the 2 Focus's driving within 2 feet of each other, crazy :dapprove:
Saw this dashtop in a 1.2 Clio in my local breakers, i liked it as it's a better colour and also gave me the excuse to remove the airbag so i took it out and fitted it to my 172 yesterday.
What i'd like to now is: If an airbag or 2 has already gone off, does that mean the ECU is rendered useless? I'd like to now remove the airbag located in the dashboard as it'll never go off as the ECU hasn't been changed/reset
Regards drilling the hole, start with a small bit first like a 2mm then work up the size in say 3 steps with each step being a larger diameter bit. Start off real slow on the speed with the 1st drill bit to make sure it doesn't spiral out of place, pretty much the same with the other bits. You...
Did the cup cars run ET43? Might have been pub talk but was told they ran them to tuck the wheels much lower in the arches, like i said could have been BS :o
1 of my blue phase 1 door handles cracked last year, i took it into Renault to order another and they ordered a new 1 using the part no off the back. It came back grey instead of blue and was then told they'd discontinued making the drivers side altogether. I then had to source another blue...
I'm sure when I pressed to lock it beeped, then seconds later it unlocked and beeped twice. The Central locking switch works and also locks the doors when going over 5mph, it's the key
Bought the Clio with this problem, I have the key, it locks but say 10 seconds it unlocks itself. I had to fit a new boot lock so is it someone to do with that? Boot lock not configured with the Central locking or key?
Sorry to be a pain but if you don't ask......
I have a the phase 1 Clio 172, the pipe that runs into the OE elbow. Can i put a breather filter on the end of it or does it need to be plumbed into the elbow still??
I've done away with the OE inlet pipe and would like to put a silicon 90...
I'll look into moving it to the grill area, out of interest as i've never seen the OE Clio 172 setup where does the pipework run from, even better is there any pics knocking about of it. I'm all ears for making sure things are done right :)
By the time i whipped out the mobile phone to take a piccy it dropped to 54 lol, this figure was driving at 60mph in an ambient temp of 0 degrees over 6 miles of dual carriageway. Since this morning it's dropped to 48 average in traffic, 30mph, standstill....... I expect it to be lower of...
More harm than than good as it made nothing on the rollers?? IMO direct 102mm diameter flexi pipe feed from the foglight to the bigger box will help the breathing.... surely better than my old setup that had a cheap Max Power style induction filter fitted to the end of the OE inlet pipe.
Yesterday i fitted the Espace V6 airbox and ran a 102mm diameter feed from the outlet to the passenger foglight. With the old air filter induction i's on average over the last 2 years see 37-39MPG, pure motorway driving would give me 44-45MPG.
I tripped the meter before heading to work and in...
I didn't mind removing the rear bench seat, black bar behind the seats, all parcel shelf gubbins and some rear interior plastics. I'm not sure i'd go too much further with weight reduction as it's still an everyday car not an all out track weapon..... yet :S I liked the bucket seats no rear seat...
OK, been about a week now and liking the Cliosport site. There's mountains of information and more than one company or person that can deal with the same things.
So, at the moment i'm running a stealth exhaust and the R21 turbo or V6 airbox with direct airfeed to the foglight. My money is hard...
I ditched the centre sectioned rubber hanger too as it stretched to the point of snapping with the mild steel stealth system. I went to Halfords for a solution and found what was an L shaped metal bracket with a heavy duty flexible strap on the end of it. I drilled a hole in the bracket and used...
My phase Clio 172 did exactly the same thing, it damaged the centre section as well in the process. The OE back box and the centre section worked out to be exactly the same price (£235ish) as the K Tec Stealth system in mild steel so i bought that instead
