i've tried them on my MK2 Escort and the car seems to run alot smoother, but the old leads were a pile of rusty crap!!
tried them on both the clios however and theres absolutely no difference, they just come in fancy colours, save ya money for something more useful!
Washed the Trophy and gave it a topup wax.
Also used the meguiars 3 step stuff on the girlfriends yaris, paint cleaner, polish, wax, hers hasnt been done for about a year, and was so faded and covered in bird poo, wasnt good!
unfortunately i don't have a picture... but the other day i spotted a rustly yellow VW Lupo, slammed on the floor, huge bodykit, bonnet bra, wheels far far too big for the arches, a cuddly toy cable tied to the front and a huge "DRIFTING IS GAY" sticker in the back window......eurgh
microfibre towel, bottle of meguairs quick detailer (great for getting bird poo off) 2 spare jumpers, charger for phone and mp3 player, 2 cans of tyreweld, some cd's, a pen, work ID badge, but mostly importantly 2 small fluffy badgers :)
Heading down weyhill road towards town, looked like a couple of passengers on board.
I was going the opposite direction, didnt notice until it was too late to wave!
i'd check out the PC World refurbished ones, can pick some proper bargains up there, i got a £600 toshiba for £299, and its been bullet proof, had to replace the HDD earlier this year but thats only coz it ran out of space, the only thing i would watch out for is that theyre not full of dust and...
i'd order it off OPIE but the only chance my mates got free in his workshop is tonight so im probably just gonna have to grab some from a motor factor round here!
Hi All,
My Trophy needs an oil change and i just wondered what oil people recommend?
I know its 5-40 but shall i just whack bog standard oil in or fork out for something a bit nicer?
Any recommendations?
id of thought so! theres a guy i knowin Horsham that will respray panels for £75 each, gotta be a member of oldskoolford to get the discount though! so bonnet, front bumper and a blend into the wings your probably gonna be looking at like £300, id of thought about £400 ish from a sprayshop, i...
i can fully imagine, it seems to buff off so easily! i polished step 1 off by hand, did step 2 with the buffer then went over it with a cloth and the same for step 3, then got a really nice polishing towel out and gave the whole car a once over!
would recommend this system to anyone really, its...
Yeaaa you know that!! Im happy to polish her car up though, it looks quite sporty for a Yaris and has a really nice anthracite paint job, im sure it'll come up a treat!
Im just seriously impressed with how quick and easy this 3 step system is, i must admit i did use an orbital buffer on the 2nd...
dude, shes a freaking legend my missus!! i said "i'm gonna polish the car up today" and she rolls over and just says "yea? ill help you" with a huge grin on her face, she loves cars as much as i do! there's only 1 condition, her Yaris gets the same treatment if the weathers nice next weekend!
also when i say "i cleaned.." i should really say me and the missus cleaned, as she was putting the stuff on each panel and i was following round buffing it off! What a woman! :)
Not sure if anyone else has used this system from meguiars?
It consists of
Step 1 - "Deep Crystal" Paint Cleaner - removes swirl marks and belmishes
Step 2 - "Deep Crystal" Polish
Step 3 - "Deep Crystal" Carnuba Wax (think its about 50% wax and 50% sealants)
All 3 steps apply really easily...
im not too sure if theres a particularly speedy way to do it, you could just set the VPN shortcut up on each machine, takes about 10 seconds to tap the information in then just create a shortcut on the desktop? as for running all 10 off at once, i'll ask a couple of my colleagues if theyve ever...
25, Clio Trophy, good times!
oh and a 1979 MK2 Ford Escort, 1760 X-Flow on a Kent cam, twin 45 webers and a quaife LSD (id list all the mods/tuning work but theres just far far far too many that ive done over the last 8 years or so)
sideways is the best ways!
i clicked yes before i red the post properly! i smoke, but never in the Trophy, insides to mint and after smoking in my old car, it smells truely RANK when you get in it!
no idea what engine it was running, looked like it could of been a 1.2 or a 1.4 judging by the exhaust and lack of spoiler, had an orange boot and sides and black roof, front and skirts, and a bit of a bodykit, came blipping past in my Trophy on the roundabout just before sainsburys!
Anyone on...
im a big fan of samsung! i think last time i had a look on ebuyer.com there was a 40ish inch one, 100hz, really good contrast ratio and 3D capable/ready, going for about £640 if i remember rightly!
i get this question all the time, almost daily infact!
Avast or AVG if you want a decent free one!
If you want a paid for one then check out ESET NOD32, possibly one of the best on the market but its main selling point is the absolutely tiny system footprint it has, therefore it wont slow your...
so who / how many are you guys from Basingstoke?
Would be nice to meet up with some fellow Clio enthusiasts rather than the people that just tell me "should of bought a skyline mate...."
i've still got the splitter! its not fallen off completely........yet, so might as well stick with it rather than buy anything else at the moment, just keeps trying to remove itself from the bumper
Hi Guys,
My front splitter has decided that in places it no longer wished to be attached to my car, and clipping a rabbit last night really didnt help!
Anyway, it keeps coming loose, do the screws up, give it a little nudge to check and it just falls off again, so im pretty sure its the...
