dmallett Well when the upper inlet is off I will use the abrasive polishing wheel at work to give the lettering a bit off a buff before I spray it all. That way I can decide whether to leave it all like that or use some wet & dry on the lettering to remove the paint to break it up a little...
Thanks Guy :) Thats what i wanted to hear as i dont really drive my car that hard. My head was telling me to go with Brembo over Mintex OEM pads.
Thanks Chris.
Not going FCS this year. Tbh the bearings are gone in the brakes and it sounds horrible above 30mph so i dont really want to be doing...
I went to Swindon (5hrs round trip) to look at one, then to Ipswich-ish way (3hrs round trip) before i settled on one that was in Scotland (Flew up there and drove back). Be preprepared to travel if you see a decent one.
Fantastic stuff Steve!! This will be a amazing machine when its complete.
You do know that whenever you turn up to a CS meet from now on, all people will be speaking to you about will be the Supra!
Sounds like a done deal to me! We'll remove the parts at work one weekend on a Saturday to paint and leave it all overnight to fully dry and we'll refit them the next day after we've checked the timing. That wont be a for at least a few weeks yet though mate!
Hopefully the seals will be here...
What less in the face colour are we going with? ventura AlexW
Looks like i've been convinced to use the sandblasting machine for some parts to be cleaned up!
Ah ok mate :race:
Will do buddy :)
They really are mate. The one at work has seen better days tbf but is still going strong and it still does the job. I can see it being used on a few more ph1 parts ;)
Thanks Matt :) Sorry i didn't make today at North Weald, i was still tinkering with the...
Friday? :S Do you mean Saturday at the Southend meet? PM/text me if preferred.
Thanks Scott :) Im really happy with the result! Once again, looking at your thread inspired me :)
Cheers mate! Hopefully it'll all be fitted for Saturday's meet, which I'm now attending :)
^ yes they will fit. Your existing platform will not be needed as these are an all in one. Have a look at Weeksy's thread on them as there is some pics of the ones in the link fitted.
Thanks Barry!
I actually used some meguires tyre gel as I had some kicking around as the strips were pretty dark anyway. I'd be looking at getting some G4 Techniq as that stuff does wonders. £25 for a little bottle but it goes far and is very good stuff that's lasts ages. Once CSS is getting...
Got few jobs done recently, mainly my brake caliper refresh. I'm over the moon on how they've turned out, especially from how they was before! It has taken me a good few hours work on them but as you can see the end result has paid off :)
Apart from the rear caliper carriers that are not in the...
Looks great Craig! Always preferred the look of the ph2 v6's but the ph1 v6 has really grown on me. And at 30k that's great!
"When" you get your recaro's then sell me the original seats!
Also what floor mats are those?
