Wouldn't touch the first one, been pranged then painted by idiots. Just colour coding the whole bumper instead of masking anything up is the classic sign of a pikey bodyshop.
There's no way a place can make a reasonable profit doing it for £20 a wheel, when you think they have to pay for their unit, materials, tools, staff labour and other rates as well. They're cutting corners somewhere, fact.
Doesn't matter whether you claim or not. Now your Dad has told your insurance company about it, your insurance is going to go up as it's logged as an incident against you.
Trust me, I know after I was stupidly honest when a golf ball broke my 172 windscreen instead of saying it was a stone off...
Yeah I wouldn't worry too much as long as it drives fine and the front end lines up properly.
I assume it belongs to/did belong to a member from here with the floor mats with the CS.net logo and mentioning the dephaser?
No xenons means they have been removed at some point, they were never made without them.
People will be quick to say front end smash, but the bumper still having the stickers in place suggests it's the original. Could just be the case a previous owner has gone to Renault to price up a Xenon...
Honestly no point fitting the washers or the self levellers. Just swap the headlights back out for the old ones come MOT time.
172 headlights are Xenons/HID as standard, you just need to buy a complete set.
Haven't bought any. No doubt they'd give me more grip, but so far I haven't got stuck/crashed and died once, so I'll chance it for another year. Even if I do get stuck and can't get to work, my boss will pick me up as he bought a set for his van (purely for snow) as his 245/18 summer tyres were...
All they really need externally is lowering a fair bit on the standard wheels and a decent splitter, then just keeping it tidy. Oh and a newer style rear RenaultSport badge as the old one looks crap.
All 1.2s wobble about in gear and are slack as s**t, the Renaultsports are only marginally better too, I wouldn't bother unless it's causing serious problems.
I'm not the fanboy type to get all handbags when people say Clios are flawed, they're french and pretty much broken in one way or another from the moment they leave the factory. That's not trolling, that's fact.
I've still loved all three. For my personal situation, and for the cash, I can't...
Good point, never really thought of it from that perspective, suppose they'll always have people willing to put up with the niggles for the price they charge. Much like myself, I've owned 3 Clios so far and no doubt sometime in the future will own more.
That's piss poor, though tbf that sounds...
I've had my gearbox replaced under warranty by Renault too (after 10K) with absolutely no problems or questions asked about it, which shows they are clearly aware that they're a bit s**t in terms of quality/design. I'd expect they'll have bothered to sort it out for later 200s as surely having...
