That's a possibility I suppose. It had a nasty DIY de-cat pipe on it. I have a spare standard ECU kit so might swap it over and see.
Injectors are all good.

That's what I'm wondering.
The engine runs well though. If it weren't for the emissions I'd have no concerns about the timing, but it's pretty much the last on my list of things to check [emoji849]

It had a de-cat pipe when I bought it, but one of the first jobs I did was replace the whole system and fit a used OE cat. The cat I fitted looked to be in good condition (else I wouldn't have fitted it).

This was the result when I first had it done in the summer. I've done some minor service items to it since (replaced thermostat and temp sensor as it was running open loop fuelling) and it has improved, but the CO levels are still way high.
Can anyone recommend somewhere around Hampshire that...
Sorry for the noob question, but is checking the timing of a 182 engine a simple thing to do?
The reason I ask is that I bought a car cheap with very little history and no mot, which had supposedly just had a new belt and dephaser. After a few little bits from me the car runs beautifully...
Understood. I just want something that's not a dog! I'm not after a Trophy edition or a minter, just something that's a decent base.
Looking forward to seeing what I can find...
Morning all.
New to this forum and looking to buy myself a Clio 182 in the coming weeks to be used as a second car. Anyone who has something for sale or know of something please let me know. Based in Hampshire but happy to travel for the right car.
Cheers!
